Will Heath-London be held accountable if improprieties found with $30B bond?

Dear Editor,

I read that Colvin Heath-London has been terminated as head of the Special Purpose Unit for GuySuCo. Several reasons were cited for his dismissal including the handling of lands on the East Bank Demerara and East Coast Demerara,
In the September 05, 2020 edition of your newspaper, it was reported that President Irfaan Ali’s
Administration had initiated a review of the $30B bond raised for GuySuCo, including the utilization of funds received.

The Special Purpose Unit was responsible for this bond issue.
I would like to know whether Mr. Heath-London will be held accountable for any improprieties that are uncovered by the administration’s review of the bond matter. It would be important for the public to know who benefitted from the bond proceeds, if not GuySuCo. As bearers of our country’s largest state-backed debt, the public deserves transparency.
