Ministry mobilising TV stations to expand Learning Channel

The Ministry of Education (MoE) through the National Centre for Educational Resource Development (NCERD) is collaborating with owners of television stations across Guyana to assist in the expansion of the Guyana Learning Channel (GLC).

According to a MoE release yesterday, Minister of Education Priya Manickchand along with Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Alfred King, and other officers, met with owners of television stations across Guyana at the National Centre for Educational Resource Development (NCERD) Auditorium.

The meeting focussed on the television owners providing equipment and services for the planned expansion of the Guyana Learning Channel (GLC). The MoE’s intention is to invite all persons who are experts in the provision of television services to submit bids to provide these services to the ministry at the appropriate time.
