A tribute to Sean Connery

Dear Editor,

Sean Connery is deeply etched in my psyche, ever since seeing his superb acting performance on screen in ‘Goldfinger’ and ‘Dr. No,’ during the 60s. There are actually no words that could fully describe his uniquely suitable personality and most unearthly blend of taste, charm, grace, gentleness, tenacity, sexiness, and other qualities, for his role of James Bond in 007 movies; in addition to his most entertaining level of serenity, despite the almost unbearable suspense felt by then movie-goers, whenever he was immersed in dangerous, life-threatening situations, as was often the case. Other 007 actors, like Roger Moore and even Pierce Brosman have made courageous efforts to walk in his shoes to continue his legacy, but none could or will ever replace the most impressionable and beloved image of the original James Bond… that will forever remain in the heart, souls and consciousness of his fans. May his soul rest in peace.
