“I want to ensure agriculture is on the forefront. We will develop new and innovative ideas to put NGMC on the map and to ensure we work on aggressively marketing our local products,” Lall said. “We will work towards fostering relationships with our farmers to ensure they continue to trust the NGMC.”
It will be the plan to ensure the NGMC continues to create regional and international markets for farmers.
This, she said, will give farmers a reason to continue farming.

“Ms. Lall stated that, in her role as GM, more focus will be placed on the logistics of getting fresh and agro-processed produce from far-flung areas to the city at an affordable cost. We will work to reduce the cost of production to make farming affordable. Most farmers have stopped planting because it has become expensive to do so…we want more farmers to start producing again,” she explained.
