Resignation of Bolivia president
Dear Editor,
The interim President of Bolivia resigned after she was caught on camera in an immoral act in her private life. Politicians from around the globe were also known to resign from their posts when caught in unethical behavior or scandals or even for plagiarism or using others speech without giving credit. Would our politicians act similarly?
Some of our politicians have been exposed in fraudulent acts and or corruption, molestation, racism, among other immoral behavior. Politicians are supposed to be people of honor. But in Guyana, many are known to be most dishonorable and people vote for them. The people deserve the discredited corrupt leaders they get.
Why aren’t the politicians doing the honorable thing and resigning from their posts when their vile acts are exposed? There is no place in elective office for those engaged in unethical acts or less than honorable behavior. Take exemplary lease from global politicians.
Yours truly,
Vishnu Bisram
